In 2014, Events Beyond was taken on by one of the largest independent Petrol and Convenience networks in Australia with over 750 retailers nationally. The client’s annual event is attended by over 200 of its largest retailers and 60 representatives from Australia’s leading FMCG brands. The five day off-shore conference consisted of supplier expos, plenary style conference, workshops, team-building, optional activities, and Gala Awards Dinner.
In 2014, a state of political unrest in Thailand plunged the planned event into a state of uncertainty. Key sponsors began to retract their financial support and delegates began to cancel registrations. Events Beyond quickly swung into overdrive to uplift and shift more than 260 delegates, an almost complete program and re-negotiate all but executed supplier contracts from Thailand to Vietnam in less than 10 weeks.
Moving a planned and near final event of this size to a new destination required tremendous skill, team dedication, and artful negotiation. The situation called for strong partnership, communication, and connectivity with the client along with ongoing, constant communication with Conference Attendees and Client Suppliers.
