At Events Beyond, we have strived to stay connected with our clients throughout this major pandemic. Of paramount importance was to keep our clients informed of our industry’s changing requirements and all limitations around travel and group gatherings. As the Event Director on one of our major accounts, my challenge was to somehow find a way for the show to go on.

Who would have thought 2020 would bring us such uncertainty and for this particular group who was looking forward to embarking on an International incentive this July. All systems were set to ‘go’ but sadly all came to a standstill earlier this March. However this did not stop us in our tracks, there had to be another way to let 300 deserving and hardworking Australians enjoy their annual incentive trip they were so looking forward to. For us here at Events Beyond, it is not only about the destination but it is about enabling our delegates to get together with friends and family and our clients to achieve their overall goals. So as International travel is currently on hold, we looked high and low and went on an Australia wide search to find the perfect destination to show case our own beautiful country, Australia. It is apparent we will now be calling Australia home for just a little while and so what better way or destination to relax and celebrate in than Far North Queensland. Clear blue waters, superb rainforests and a friendly village vibe makes Port Douglas an ideal and perfect destination for our client’s incentive.

And so with Queensland borders opening soon, we embark on our first face to face incentive this October. Lets face it, virtual conferencing is the way of the future for some clients and events but the aquamarine waters of the Great Barrier Reef, the breathtaking canopy of the Daintree Rainforest, the crystal creeks of Mossman Gorge, and the palm fringed golden sands of Four Mile Beach are calling us. With over 200 rooms per night secured at the amazing Sheraton Grand Mirage Port Douglas, multiple group dinners, business sessions, supplier exhibition, Gala Awards Dinner and optional tours to plan, we are excited to deliver this event for our long term client. Rest assured there will be plenty of fun to be had by all, so as we get the ball rolling and focus on our work at hand, the Events Beyond team look forward to creating the magic, the vibe and exceeding all expectations on our first real time event since the pandemic. So let the fun and games begin!
